(NEWSER) – A New Jersey woman has been charged with second-degree manslaughter and first-degree assault after administering a fatal silicone injection.
Tamira Mobley, 28, who says she is a beautician, injected silicone into the buttocks of college student Tamara Blaine, 22, in a pay-by-the-hour New York hotel room. The July procedure was the fourth in a year, the New York Times reports.
This time, the silicone entered Blaine's bloodstream, an autopsy found, resulting in embolisms and asphyxiation. She had a seizure and died in the hospital.
